Patch Notes for July Update
Bethesda announced a new update for Quake Champions. The servers went down for maintenance at 11:00 UTC, 05 Jul 2018 for deploying a new patch, which will include a new map The Molten Falls, Champion & Weapon Balance Changes, the highly requested Purchasable Player Rename Tokens and additional performance polish.

- The Molten Falls – In this new Goroth Map from the Dimension of the Doomed, experience gripping encounters in an open map with more verticality, great lines of sight, wider halls & tons of opportunities to best your opponents – Available in all Ranked/Unranked modes with the exception of Sacrifice.
- Fixed an issue where Peeker (Strogg's Drone) didn't highlight Galena's Unholy Totems while marking foes for your team
- Fixed an issue so Galena’s Unholy Totems no longer float in mid-air outside of the playable area
- Fixed an issue in Peeker's ability, where teammates would see Red shading instead of Blue
- Fixed an issue where enemy Keel grenades were not differentiated from friendly ones
- Fixed an issue when Slash used her ability just before death, the VFX of trail would be missing but it would still damage an enemy
- Fixed an issue where Strogg could become stuck crouching in 3rd person if Peeker was destroyed too quickly
- Fixed an issue where Peeker was not consistently destroyed by exiting Ghostwalk ability with Nyx
- Fixed an issue where Galena's Unholy Totem ability could become stuck in air if it hit a player while they were moving
- Fixed an issue where Galena's Unholy Totems didn't do damage when the max amount (three) were active
- Fixed Various Spectator crashes
- Fixed an issue where Spectators saw an outline on dead enemies
- Fixed an issue where Spectators could miss the Post-match podium, if switching between players quickly
- Fixed an issue where Spectator Camera may attempt to spectate two players at once during warmup
- Fixed an issue where Spectators sometimes wouldn’t see the projectiles from the Plasmagun
- Fixed an issue where Spectators might see Champion models in 3rd person view
- Fixed an issue where Spectators might not see Player Icons during Warmup
- Fixed an issue where Auto-Follow modes were not functioning for Spectators
- Fixed an issue where the Scalebearer Bullrush SFX would improperly persist for Spectators
- Support of HP/AP for Spectating integrated
- Fixed an issue where Slash was unable to be killed by bots with Railguns
- Fixed various navigation issues in various maps where Bots could get stuck
- Fixed an issue where Scoreboard couldn’t be opened on death screen in Basic Training
- Fixed an issue where on welcome screen Ranked Matches count showed Unranked Matches count instead
- Fixed an issue where hovering over Medals did not display description
- Fixed an issue where 'Medals' inscription on Duel Scoreboard was hidden if there were no Medals
- Fixed an issue where after the player retrieved their Daily Reward the colorful outline around the reward would switch to the next day’s reward before the animation was complete
- Fixed an issue where the 'Accuracy' Medal wasn't given to the most accurate player
- Fixed an issue where the 'Back to Lobby' button was missing for Duel matches
- Fixed an issue where Basic Training pickup description hints passed too quickly
- Fixed an issue in Ranked TDM where the Post-match podiums had incorrect nameplate placement
- Integrated filters on profile screen for 'Game Type' in Statistics section
- Added shiny "Q" logo on lootboxes
- Added “COMPILING SHADERS” message on Customization loading screen
- Added a notification about using Ranger’s Dire Orb ability for teleporting during Basic Training & removed the Slipgate from that room
- Removed the two blank MOTD panels on the Welcome Screen
- Fixed an issue where Strogg Medals appeared for all individual Champion Medals
- Added notifications for when a user tries to perform a purchase with disabled overlay
- Added onscreen effect on Peeker’s camera before death
- Items not for sale can no longer be added to the shopping cart (e.g. Plasmagun)
- Fixed an issue where User was able to purchase One Time Purchase items multiple times
- Fixed some lootbox presentation issues
- 5.1/7.1/HRTF options temporarily disabled due to technical issues
- Forced Gore option to ‘ON’ by Default
- AFK timer functionality updated to work more effectively
- Glitch sound effects and white noise before Peeker’s death added
- Fixed an issue where Player might not be transferred to lobby if they navigate to profile screen when Duel Match begins
- Fixed various crashes
- Possible crash when ending a duel
- Fixed various issues with Free Cam
- Fixed an issue where Killercam followed one gib piece of a killed enemy
- Fixed various issues with Champion outline colors presenting the wrong color

- Fixed an issue where entering invalid credentials when linking Steam with a previous Quake account closed the game
- Fixed an issue where sending a private message wouldn't switch off DnD (Do not Disturb) mode
- Fixed an issue where Sorlag Mastery Runes were not tracking towards completion
- Fixed an issue where Hosts were able to select and start a Sacrifice Match on Corrupted Keep in a custom game (map not supported)
- Fixed the time it takes to capture a Soul from an Obelisk in Sacrifice back to its original 3 seconds
