Nitrino: “I Play Too Arcade, Need To Change My Style”
A short interview with Nitrino was published on the official 250 FPS Telegram channel. After seven matches this season, he is in 10th place with three wins and four losses.
Q: How do you practice?
A: Mostly I practice with fire_bot — he’s my constant sparring partner. We play each other a lot, go over mistakes, share thoughts. Sometimes we try unusual ideas. These sessions really help me improve.
Q: What do you lack to win?
A: I need to change my playstyle. I play too arcade — often rushing forward, taking unnecessary risks. It looks fun, but at a high level it doesn’t always work. Now I’m trying to act smarter, calmer, with more control.
Q: Any setbacks this season?
A: There was one moment — my mouse was failing. The sensor was skipping, the aim was drifting. It was a big problem, especially in key situations. I recently switched mice — hopefully no more issues like that.
Q: How do you see the league overall?
A: The league is great. Quake feels alive again: lots of action, activity, great atmosphere. It was a pity I wasn’t invited last season, but I’m glad to play this one. Would be awesome if EGB organized a LAN event.
Q: What place are you aiming for?
A: I don’t want to predict, I’ll just try to climb as high as possible.
Q: Who is the toughest opponent?
A: Honestly? Everyone is strong. Each has their own style and specialty. There won’t be any easy games.
