Spart1e won the EGB Delirium Cup, which was the first Quake Live tournament of 2026. The tournament format included a simple rule change: during map selection, Delirium could not be banned. On his way to the title, Spart1e beat baSe, AGENT and pavel twice. This is Spart1e’s first win in the weekly EGB Cups series since EGB Cup #16 in late August 2025.

The cup also featured baSe, whose previous Quake Live tournament appearances date back to 2018. According to baSe, his return to Quake Live was part of an agreement with cYpheR: baSe would play a Quake Live event, while cYpheR would play a Quake Champions event. The next European Quake Champions tournament on the schedule is Estoty Duel Tournament #183, planned for 9 January.
