ZeniMax Media, Bethesda’s parent company, has filed a trademark application for Quake. According to the published filing information, the application was filed on March 3. The filing itself does not confirm a new game or any specific announcement, but it may suggest that the company is preparing to use the brand again in some form.

The timing is notable as 2026 marks 30 years since the release of Quake. Earlier, QuakeCon 2026 was also announced with branding built around the number 30, which may point to the franchise’s anniversary.
