What don't you like about warsow?
hey all!
i'm curious on what is it that makes you personally not play/like warsow.
my suspicion is that for most people the speed of the game takes away a lot of the strategic part, because you can get around so fast.
i have no need for finding out which is THE best game in this thread :)
p.s: i don't find it appropriate to put it into the warsow forum as only people that play warsow will read there i suppose. hence GG-forum

But it doesnt offer anything that makes me want to play it over any other game and it has very few players so theres nothing drawing me to it in particular.
Also I think the dash system has been wrongly dismissed as a gimmick. It complements the overall game speed well, specially in fights where producing interesting dodge patterns. There is one general move I find particularly satisfying: it's when you strafe at one direction with huge speed and during the last jump you let go all of your movement keys, turn around and hit dash to make a 180 degree turn without losing any pace.
I'd play it more but after last couple patches I'm getting FPS drops on my ancient PC so I've dropped it.
three things really killed warsow for me:
1. the lack of concerted direction from the developers
2. the dying community (see #1)
3. learning about quake live
warsow was fun, but as i began to see the subtle strategic elements of quake live, i really lost any desire to play warsow. the ql community was larger (many of the warsow players were playing it, too), finding a game was easier, and i still got the visceral fps combat experience that i got from warsow, just not as frenetic. i really grew to love the gameplay of quake live, which is sort of tragic, because that game was pretty well run into the dirt.
