Tier 2 - DaHanG, k1llsen, Cooller, cYpheR, vengeur - 300 to 200 points

DaHang

DaHanG, rapha's partner in crime in Team Liquid, currently holds the DreamHack Winter Duel crown, after his impressive win last year. Often being overlooked due to his teammate's legacy, DaHanG constantly proves he's just as good if not better in Quake Champions. After reaching the Grand Finals at QuakeCon 2018 and getting a top 8 finish at PGL, the current DreamHack champion will surely have a couple of tricks up his sleeve and hopefully show us once again that the meta is overrated!

k1llsen

The German powerhouse is always a very dangerous player to go up against in duel, having already taken the gold medal home last year during the Italy Esports Open 2017. More recently k1llsen was able to reach a very impressive top 4 at PGL, after beating DaHanG in the Quarter Final, and beating Raisy in the upper bracket of the Italy Esports Open 2018 to secure a third place. Despite having voiced his dislike by the current meta, he is a player nobody wants to go up against during DreamHack Winter 2018.

Cooller

One of the Quake Gods himself, Cooller's run in Quake Champions has been filled with consistently good results at LAN's (third place at QuakeCon 2017, first place and second place at MediaMarkt #1 and #2), most recently a second place finish at PGL against rapha, a icon_cup_gold first place against k1llsen in Quake Open League 6 and a top 4 at ESWC 2018. He lost some points due to his lackluster performance at the Italy Esports Open 2018, but if his 12 hour training sessions and streams are anything to judge Cooller's shape by, he's looking unstoppable ahead of DreamHack Winter 2018.

cYpheR

cYpheR cYpheR cYpheR! Forever a fan favorite, his luck in Quake Champions hasn't been the best, being unable to attend any overseas tournaments so far. Despite a worse performance than the 3 previous players of this tier at PGL (qualified to groups but couldn't make it through), he managed to rack up enough points by winning a few recent online events, like BEAT Season 2, Quake Open League #3 and #4 and also by getting a top 6 over Cooller at the Italy Esports Open 2018. cYpheR's last year performance at DreamHack Winter 2017 was a great top 4 finish, will he be able to get a similar result this year? The current meta definitely seems to favor his style, so fans will again be cheering for him in this year's edition of DreamHack Winter.

vengeur

When it comes to the youngest player on this list, vengeur's recent performances resemble cYpheR's. In his first Duel LAN in Quake Champions so far, he managed to qualify to groups at PGL but couldn't make it through, and just like cYpheR, he has been extremely active and consistent in his online performances, having won Quake Open League #7 and getting a second place in Quake Open League #3, #4 and #5. His top 6 finish at the Italy Esports Open 2018 over Xron gives him just enough points to be on this tier, and being one of the most exciting players to watch, his aggressive and flashy style will surely keep everyone entertained as vengeur hunts for glory at DreamHack Winter!
