QWC Finals Groups have been announced

Yesterday evening the admins in presence of the players did the group draw for the Quake World Championship tournaments. The final groups for duel will be completed once the BYOC qualifier has finished which is attended by known players such as evil, fraze, python and spartie among others. The groups for Sacrifice will be played in the GSL format while Duels will be Round Robin.

Stupid reply, Vo0 qualified via runners up, which is worse than loser brackets, and gets a way easier group? gtfo with that corrupt logic

lol? Perhaps voO's group is arguably easier on paper and before you tell me I have corrupt logic, why not do some research?

But doesn't change the fact that if you look at the brackets during regionals for group A:

rapha qualified straight into top 8 so he gets a high seed, wichtl and cooller qualified in bottom 4 (losers bracket) so hence get a low seed.

in group C: whaz and clawz qualified both in top 8 respectively and voO qualified as a low seed (runner up tournament).

so in summary: group A has 1 high seed and 2 low seeds, where as group C has 2 high seeds and 1 low seed, so technically voO's group is harder.

At the end of the day, look, I am also a fan of both cooller and rapha and it sucks having them in the same group, but it's just way it is and I don't think its unfair, it's just unlucky for cooller.

Just fyi: wichtl and raisy were randomly drawn from the 4 eu low seeds and got a high seed to replace agent and cypher. tox and Vo0 got low seeds.

fair enough, either way doesn't change the fact that cooller got an unlucky draw in these groups because he was a low seed, so anonymous Uruguay up there needs to check himself :P.

If anything this is all av3k's fault :P

I'll tell you where I sit b4 I tell you where I stand - if rapha can't win I will root for dahang, cooller and evil. They all have been very close but have not yet won qcon.

top two from each group advance? cooller and rapha will both go thru even if the last slot is Evil. Evil would get screwed in that event.

look out for Raisy. He's come from outta nowhere and could be a big surprise.

cypher adjusted to Raisy's aggressive playstyle in a matter of hours on his stream and beat him pretty consistently after that, so I wouldn't expect too much.. Plus, Raisy won't be able to outlg the top players on lan, like he often did online
