The VGC portal drew attention to vacancies on the id Software website. The project is being handled by the main studio in Richardson, Texas, which is in need of a technical animator, environment and skybox artist and other specialists.

id Software did not specify the name of the next major game, but it described as a first-person shooter within a "long-running and iconic series" with elements of fantasy and science fiction. Based on this, it can be assumed that id is currently rethinking Quake or a sequel to DOOM.

Potential employees will be responsible for creating stylistics and quality art in the style of fantasy and science fiction.
