A community petition has been launched on Change.org requesting the reinstatement of Adam "SyncError" Pyle to work on Quake Champions.

SyncError was recently let go as part of massive division-wide layoffs at Xbox affecting id Software. Prior to his departure, he was effectively the sole developer responsible for managing updates, balance, and public test server (PTS) patches for Quake Champions. With his removal, the future development and maintenance of the game remain highly uncertain.

According to the petition, SyncError has been the primary driving force behind Quake Champions for years, sustaining the game and its community through consistent updates, active communication, tournament support, and long-term dedication. The community initiative asks Microsoft to bring him back to continue supporting the title under his established leadership.
