Quake Champions 1.31 has been released, moving the game from a free-to-play service to a paid application on Steam. All Champions are now unlocked, most vanity content is available to equip, and Battle Passes, the Store, Platinum, Shards, loot boxes and other in-game purchases have been removed. Anyone who previously played Quake Champions on Steam retains access at no additional cost.

The release includes content from 30 seasons and completes a transition that first appeared in PTS testing earlier in September. SyncError later published the full version 1.31 changelog shortly before ending his work on Quake Champions updates. The official release announcement states that no additional content updates are planned at this time.
