k1llsen won all three of his upper-bracket matches 2:0, including his first meeting with Thri11er in the semifinals. In the Winners Final, he beat S V H 2:0 to reach the Grand Final unbeaten.
S V H had produced one of the strongest runs of the tournament before that loss, defeating maxter 2:0 in the quarterfinals and dramiS 2:1 in the semifinals. Dropped into the lower bracket, he then faced Thri11er for a place in the Grand Final, but lost the series 1:2 and finished third.
Thri11er, meanwhile, recovered from his earlier 0:2 loss to k1llsen with a run through the lower bracket, eliminating maxter, St0n3 and finally S V H to earn a rematch in the Grand Final. k1llsen again proved too strong, winning all three maps to close out the tournament.
The victory is k1llsen's second EGB QC Cup title in the last three editions. He previously won EGB QC Cup #11 before finishing third at EGB QC Cup #12.
