A few notable anniversaries fall in 2026 and could line up well with QuakeCon programming:
- 35 years of id Software.
- 30 years of Quake.
- 10 years since Quake Champions was announced.
- 10 years of DOOM (2016).
- 45 years since Castle Wolfenstein (1981) and 25 years since Return to Castle Wolfenstein (2001).
MachineGames studio director Jerk Gustafsson has previously said the team still plans to make another Wolfenstein game, but there’s no timeline or announcement yet.
